I recently volunteered the Future Front market in Austin, Texas. Future Front is a non-profit based in Austin that supports women and LGBTQ+ creatives. I absolutely loved the market, and spend quite a bit of money with so many exciting products.
Even if you're just window shopping, there's an amazing DJ, plenty of booths to stop by, and great food. I personally made at least one new friend at the event. In this blog, I will share a few businesses that I absolutely loved!
1. Las Ofrendas
The founder of Las Ofrendas, tk tunchez, is a queer, femme, latinx maker and entrepreneur. It definitely shows in their handcrafted products to support folks on their personal journey. I love the vibe, the queerness, the Selena references. Lovely! I bought a journal and card from them for one of my close friends engagement parties.
Jacqueline (as pictured above), the founder is a lovely person who brings a glowing energy to her products. The self-affirming and colorful products wake you up and make you want to start your day with good vibes. She is currently based in El Paso but I'm hoping she does more tours in Austin and NYC so I can grab some goodies!
As a volunteer I was able to basically just stand and take in the beautiful accessories. The level of detail she puts in is unbelievable. Also such a kind person!

The vibes lured me in, I couldn't resist buying a shirt. Owner is gorgeous and vibrant, so sweet! Oh and my shirt was packaged in a popcorn box, that's right, a popcorn box. People kept asking me to share my food to no avail.
Everything is so adorable and incredibly soft! I bought a tiny star plushie as a travel-friendly to keep me calm. And you guessed it, this creator is also very kind, a bright energy and puts in a lot of work to make these comforting companions.
These handmade candles are beautiful and the smells are amazing. I have heard great things about the Cereal Milk candle and the Cactus Flower candle reminds me of home.
7. Swatcasso
Swathi is an artist based in Austin, Texas. They create original works, prints, and stickers. My favorite so far has been the Runny Sunset because I love a good pun!
Chef JRodi is the Chef for 3 Small Plates catering. In addition to being a kind and fun person to speak to the meals are delicious. Although I can't personally eat it, the smell of the crawfish rice itself tells you how delicious the food is.
